RE-IMAGINE GRACELAND

“What will people think?”

Silence.  Neglect.  Isolation.

Experiences of misunderstanding and stigma toward mental ill-health can take a heavy toll — yes for the person, but also for those with a caring role.

In this session, Trav Johnson draws from the story of supporting his person in their experience of gender dysphoria.

As a parent (as well as a Christian Pastor and Leader), his experience of providing support at the intersection of mental ill-health and sexual & gender diversity provides a unique perspective for navigating stigma and shame.

This workshop is presented in three sections, providing space for parents to re-imagine how to respond to the nagging question:

“What will people think?”
